"We have been very exciting
achievers in the past two years" says restaurant owner and
head chef Tuan . "At first, people mainly try us out because
of our low cost food, but now it is only part of the image and
it is our reputation for good food, friendly service and
invigorating atmosphere that is foremost."
Tuan and Phuong Tran was borned in
Vietnam and came to Australia 10 years ago. They are one of
the new Vietnamese generation that have great passion for
Asian food, particularly Vietnamese food. They opened New Wind
Restaurant in 2001 with an extensive menu of Thai and
Vietnamese food. Chef Tuan has lots of
experience in hospitality industry. And his skill and
dedication results in the success of New Wind Restaurant.
Within a short time, New Wind has made its name in the busy
Chapel street. It was voted best restaurants by its guests (Stonnington
Leader) in 2003 and 2004. Apart from cooking, the
multi-talented Tuan
also entertains diners with his piano and paintings that
decorated the wall of “New Wind Restaurant”.
